Cardiac Rehabilitation is a program for persons who have experienced a heart attack, heart surgery, or those having coronary heart disease symptoms. Union County Hospital offers cardiac education and monitored exercise with trained, professional personnel in a friendly supportive atmosphere.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is designed to help people with chronic lung disease enjoy a higher quality of life. The Union County Hospital Outpatient Program benefits adults who have been diagnosed with asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, or other lung disease.
Exercise sessions are attended one to three times per week for up to 12 weeks, using specialized equipment. Our trained staff provides continuous monitoring and blood pressure checks as appropriate.
Participation in the program is by physician referral. In most cases, insurance pays a portion or all of the program fees.
